FREE JOSH WOLF COALITION UPDATE
February 28, 2007
::: TODAY! RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF JOSH GOES BEFORE THE SAN
FRANCISCO DEMOCRATIC COUNTY CENTRAL COMMITTEE :::
We need your help tonight in San Francisco!
The San Francisco Democratic Central Committee will be voting on a
resolution calling for Josh's release. We will need a very strong
contingent of Josh supporters in the room and several people to
provide public comment in support of the resolution.
This is would be a very big victory for us and will essentially force
Nancy Pelosi and Dianne Feinstein to take a position on Josh's case
one way or the other as they are both members of the DCCC.
Also, if it passes locally we have two DCCC members who want to take
this resolution to state Democratic Party.
To RSVP and for more information please contact julian.n.davis@...
What: SF DCCC monthly meeting
When: Wednesday, February 28
Time: 7:00 PM
Where: San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee Monthly Meeting
State Building, 455 Golden Gate Ave., Milton Marks Auditorium, San Francisco
::: TODAY! WRITE A LETTER TO THE SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE :::
The San Francisco Chronicle has provided regular coverage of Josh'
case and it editors even called for his release in an editorial on
August 3 of last year.
However in yesterday's issue columnist Debra J. Saunders wrote a very
poorly informed column on Josh's case and claimed that he is not a
journalist despite the fact that virtually every major journalist
organization and every major newspaper in the United States has called
him a journalist.
Clearly her column does not represent the opinions of the Chronicle
editors nor the majority of its readers. Please help us flood the
Chronicle with letters today pointing out the many holes in Saunders'
arguments and the irrelevance of many of her comments.
For info on submitting letters to the Chronicle click on the link
below and contact andy.blue@... for more information or help
with your letter.

::: SEE JOSH ON PBS FRONTLINE :::
PBS Frontline is airing an extraordinary four part series on the state
of the press in the United States today. An interview with Josh was
included in part 2 aired last week. You can watch the segment with
Josh at this link:
But consider watching the entire series as it sets Josh's case in the
larger, frightening picture of the current state of press freedom in
