      Exhibition at Post Museum

      After its 2-week run at Library@Orchard, the VSS exhibition has moved to Post Museum at 107+109 Rowell Rd, near Jln Besar, in Little India, from Wed, 28 Nov till Sun, 9 Nov. Opening hours for the exhibition are 6pm-10pm (Tue-Fri) and 12pm-10pm (Sat+Sun).

      Raw Food Dinner in Conjunction with VSS Exhibition

      In conjunction with the VSS exhibition, Food #03 is launching their Guest Chef Programme with Paul Yeoh in December. Paul, a raw food chef and instructor, will be hosting a raw organic hands-on dinner on 6 Dec (Thu) from 6.30pm. The dinner will consist of 2 salads, 1 main and 1 dessert, and tickets are $30.       Deadlines Approaching for IVU World Vegetarian Congress

      The 100th anniversary IVU World Vegetarian Congress will be held 27 Jul – 3 Aug, 2008 in Dresden , Germany . Dec 31 is the deadline for applications to be a speaker at this historic event. Please send your application via the internet: www.ivu.org/congress/2008/speakerform.html

      Jan 31 is the next deadline for early booking discounts. After that date, the congress fee will be 160 EUR instead of 140 EUR: http://www.ivu.org/congress/2008/article.html

      Researchers Assert that Crustaceans, Including Crabs, Feel Pain

      Some people like to think that fish and other marine animals are the “Vegetables of the Sea”. Scientific evidence, however, is mounting that our marine fellow earthlings are intelligent beings who experience pain in ways similar to land animals.

      Religious Proclamation for Animal Compassion

      On Nov 7, 2007, Best Friends Animal Society hosted a historic gathering of people of many diverse faiths in Washington , D.C. United by their compassion for animals, the diverse group came together to witness the unveiling and signing of 'A Religious Proclamation for Animal Compassion.' This important document, created by a group of clergy representing more than 20 of the world's religious traditions, issues calls to action for people of all faiths to reclaim a commitment to animals.

      The goal is to collect 1 million signatures in support of the proclamation:
