      Join us for Feast FOR the Animals, a festive catered dinner
      benefiting Vote Yes on Proposition 2: The Prevention of Farm Animal
      Cruelty ballot initiative, on Sunday, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at
      Southside Park Co-Housing, Fifth and T streets in Sacramento.

      Enjoy an all-vegan and substantially raw culinary tour of the
      Mediterranean prepared with local, organic and seasonal ingredients
      by chefs Eileen Murray of Eileen's Kitchen and Ricahrd Helmsley of
      Synergy Chef Collaborative while supporting this landmark initiative.
      All proceeds from the dinner support Proposition 2, sponsored by the
      Humane Society of the United States, Farm Sanctuary and other animal-
      protection groups to secure a more humane living environment for
      chickens, veal calves and pregnant pigs in California. Feast For the
      Animals is but one of many "house parties" taking place in support of
      Californians for Humane Farms throughout the state on July 27—a mere
      100 days before the November 4 general election.

      Please RSVP by Monday, July 21 by responding to this e-mail and
      sending a check for $55 per person to the Sacramento Vegetarian
      Society, at P.O. Box 163583, Sacramento, CA 95816. Seating is limited
      to 50. Remember, every penny goes to the Vote Yes on Proposition 2
