Group Description

URBAN WILDLIFE COALITION - NYC, seeks life, liberty and happiness for ALL of the citizens who reside in urban areas. INCLUDING those who cannot speak for themselves.

Please visit my related web page: http://www.humanenyc2014.wordpress.com
and http://pigeonpapers.blogspot.com for more detailed info.

Also see: http://www.humanerevolution.org for updates on the national attack on our wildlife including the USDA's death crusade against Canada Geese.

UWC-NYC SEEKS TO MOBILIZE those of like minds for the benefit of raising awareness & changing urban policies which are cruel and unfair.

UWC-NYC DEMANDS that New York City -- and cities across the globe -- come to terms with the well being of ALL their inhabitants. INCLUDING squirrels, pigeons, starlings, geese, ducks, raccoons, sparrows, robins -- ALL OF THEM.

WE DEMAND that New York City reject it's current "Bladerunner" policies toward urban creatures and believe it is possible, and necessary, to envision a city with humane policies. This would include innovative, creative solutions as opposed to "poisoning" or "wires" and -- our personal favorite -- "culling" [killing outright]

THOMAS EDISON said, "Non-violence leads to the highest of ethics which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages."

ABRAHAM LINCOLN said, "I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being."

LEONARDO DA VINCI said, "I have from an early age abjured the use of meat. And, the time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals the way we now look upon the murder of men."

UWC-NYC welcomes any and all who would like to contribute their efforts, attention and/or resources to this cause. Please drop by and bring your love for creatures to our site.
