UPN Plugs Liu into 'Game Over' Wednesday, August 20 02:00 PM
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "Charlie's Angels" star Lucy Liu will lend her voice to UPN's midseason animated series "Game Over."
Liu will play Raquel Smashenburn, a wife and mother who's also a butt-whooping secret agent, in the CGI-animated series, which UPN is billing as the first of its kind in primetime. She's replacing Marisa Tomei, who voiced Raquel in the show's pilot.
"Game Over" follows the adventures of the Smashenburns, a suburban family that lives in a world where life is a lot like videogames. Dad Rip ("The Tick's" Patrick Warburton) is a race-car driver who manages to wreck his car just about every day. The couple also has two teenage kids, Billy (E.G. Daily) and Alice (Rachel Dratch, "Saturday Night Live").
Liu has done a smattering of voice-over work in the past, including guest appearances on "King of the Hill" and "Futurama." Her live-action credits include the "Charlie's Angels" movies, "Ally McBeal" and the upcoming Quentin Tarantino opus "Kill Bill."
