'AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL' Posts UPN's Best Showing in the Time Period With Regularly Scheduled Programming in 15 Months in Key Adult Demos
'AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL' Delivers Double Digit Growth in Week 2
In only its second outing AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL soared to post UPN�s highest women 18-34 ratings ever with regularly-scheduled programming in the Tuesday 9-10PM time period -(3.1/8 - ties 1/24/95), and the third best ever among women 18-49 (2.5/6 - behind 1/24/95 and 4/18/95).
AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL was UPN�s best performance with regularly-scheduled programming in the time period since February 2002 among persons 12-34 (1.8/6), adults 18-34 (2.0/6) and adults 18-49 (1.6/5), and the highest since 3/10/98 among females 12-34 (2.7/8).
The AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL fanbase grew with its second episode last night. Compared to last week�s premiere, AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL saw its viewership rise across key demographics, including +5% among adults 18-34 (2.0/6 v. 1.9/5), +7% among adults 18-49 (1.6/5 v. 1.5/4), +6% among persons 12-34 (1.8/6 v. 1.7/5) and +9% among total viewers (3.20 mil v. 2.92 mil). The week-to-week increase was even more dramatic among females with +19% growth among women 18-34 (3.1/8 v. 2.6/6), +25% among women 18-49 (2.5/6 v. 2.0/5), +17% among females 12-34 (2.7/8 v. 2.3/6).
Once again, AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL built audience through the 9:00 hour with double-digit increases at 9:30 across the board, including +12% among persons 12-34, +11% among adults 18-34, +20% among adults 18-49, +22% among total viewers. The show added more female viewers in the second half-hour as well, including +16% among females 12-34, +10% among women 18-34 and +17% among women 18-49.
With two hours of AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL, UPN saw growth in every half-hour starting at 8:00PM. UPN�s audience increased by +46% among persons 12-34, +50% among adults 18-34, +50% among adults 18-49 and +46% among total viewers.
AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL outperformed UPN�s season average in the 9:00-10:00 PM time period with double-digit increases across the board, including +50% among total viewers, +64% among persons 12-34, +82% among adults 18-34, +60% among adults 18-49 and +93% among females 12-34. AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL delivered triple-digit growth compared to the time period average -- +121% among women 18-34 and +108% among women 18-49.
At 9:00PM, AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL out-performed The WB�s �Smallville� in total viewers and all key adult and female demographics, including persons 12-34, adults 18-34 and adults 18-49. And the encore of AMERICA�S NEXT TOP MODEL at 8:00PM beat The WB�s �Gilmore Girls� among adults 18-34, adults 18-49, women 18-34 and women 18-49.
