I had to modify the source of the wysiwyg editor to get it to work
properly on my site. If you have the source, look in the
components/editorControls/wysiwyg folder and open editor.cs to edit.
Comment out lines 247 and 248. These two lines modify the source you
put in by stripping off the umbraco path and the base url which
means even if you have <img src="/umbraco/TextGen.aspx?
text=sometext" /> it will strip it down to <img src="TextGen.aspx?
text=sometext" /> which won't be a valid path anymore. Commenting
out those two lines causes "/umbraco/TextGen.aspx" to be converted
to a fully qualified path a
la "http://mysite.com/umbraco/TextGen.aspx" which works as expected
in both the editor and on the live site.

        It's two problems, right?

        1. Inserting a textgen.aspx headline in the richtext editor results
in a broken image placeholder. The url contains some absolute
        addressing "http://umbraco/textgen.aspx ..."

        2. When publishing the page the image url is changed to "textgen.aspx"

Does anyone know if there's a fix around? (bugs system is down)

        Jesper

I have the same problems - does anyone know if it has been fixed?

The solution below solves one of the problems.
