      Subject: MSO Cambridge

I was at MSO Cambridge last weekend. Chris & Paul did a good job of running
the settlers and Reiner tournaments respectively. The settlers featured a
number of new players to the game. Hopefully some of them will come along to
future events - ManorCon and other flyers etc were distributed there by us
so hopefully we'll see some of them at other cons.

This would strike me as a good place to recruit players for the Hobby. For
next year I was wondering what we can do to promote the hobby further. The
best idea I've had would be a stand along the lines of the one which Mssrs
Harrington & Bardy have operated at events in London. If we do arrange
something like that then there is likely to be a small cost (not sure how
much - but will check). Presumably people will be happy for the hdf to cover
something like that. The other question then is who is around to run the
      stall. Any volunteers?

The other thought is to run some more hobby events there next year. This
time round we had settlers & Reiner tournaments. Any suggestions for next
year? Diplomacy? Acquire? Anything else? Any volunteers to run any of the

If you all let me have any suggestions, thoughts & ideas about how we can
boost the hobby side of the event next year then let me know and I'll
contact the organisers re the 2003 event.
