Consultant Needed for Child Labor and Education in West Africa
My office is looking for a consultant to assist with a West Africa needs
assessment that focuses on child labor and education. A brief description

The U.S. Department of Labor's International Child Labor Program is looking
for a consultant to conduct a desk review of basic education and child labor
in Mali, Benin and Burkina Faso. The assessment should provide information
on the extent and nature of child labor in the country/sector, access to and
quality of basic education, current efforts being undertaken by local NGOs,
private sector, government agencies, and international development
organizations to address gaps in basic education. No travel is required.
The approximate timeline is from mid-December to early January.
Qualifications should include strong research skills, an understanding of
education and development, experience in/familiarity with West Africa, and
the ability to speak and read French. Doctoral students are encouraged to
