      On the subject of leap years, I believe the rules are thus:

      A year is a leap year if it is divisible by 4
      UNLESS it is divisible by 100, then it is not,
      UNLESS it is divisible by 400, then it is a leap year.

      Therefore, 2000 is a leap year, since it is divisible by 400. 2100, 2200,
      and 2300 will not be leap years, but 2400 will be. So 1972 and 2000 could
      indeed have the same calendar, and Jarvi's trick for the VCR could work.
