Subject: PEACE CORPS' 40TH ANNIVERSARY ON RADIO AND TV

Peace Corps' 40th Anniversary on the Radio and Television

There will be two broadcasts TODAY and TOMORROW to commemorate the Peace
      Corps' 40th anniversary.

      RADIO
A radio program entitled "The World" will talk about Peace Corps' 40th
Anniversary and the agency's directions for the future. To find out when
"The World" will be airing in your area, go to the Public Radio
      International website. http://www.pri.org/locator.html Choose "The
      World"
and enter your state and a list of times and stations will appear.
If you missed this when it aired live, you can go to the website of your
local PRI or NPR station and listen to it on the Internet.

      TELEVISION
Acting Peace Corps Director Charles Baquet will appear nationally on
C-Span with host, Lou Ketcham, this Thursday, March 1 (Peace Corps Day)
from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. to talk about the Peace Corps' anniversary. The
format of the show is a call-in, so feel free to call and show your
support of the agency! Check your local T.V. listings to find out what
channel C-Span is on in your community. The dial-in number will appear
on the screen during the show.
