Policy Position at Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS
Hello and Happy Holidays to you from all of us at the Elizabeth
Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
It is with great enthusiasm
that I announce that the Public Policy Department at EGPAF will be doubling in
size (from one to two people) in the coming weeks. That means there is a
position opening up for a Public Policy Officer, working closely with myself
on the full range of public policy issues that EGPAF plans to actively pursue.
For those of you who may not be fully up to date on EGPAF's
activities, we have expanded our programs in recent years, and our public
policy activities are growing as well. Our public policy activities in
the coming year will include our longstanding work on pediatric HIV/AIDS, a
commitment to stop mother-to-child transmission of HIV abroad, and policy work
related to the brand new Glaser Pediatric Research Network (GPRN). The
GPRN is an alliance of 5 major children's medical centers that will conduct
research on serious and life-threatening diseases affecting children and
actively support training for pediatric researchers.
A brief job
description for this new position is attached. Please feel free to
forward this to anyone who may be interested in the position. However,
if you feel strongly about a particular candidate, your recommendation will
mean a lot to me, so please contact me directly to recommend anyone you feel
will be a particularly good fit. Also, please feel free to contact me if
you have any questions about the position or about our public policy
Thank you for all of your help and support in my first 6
months at EGPAF. I am looking forward to working with each of you in the
coming year and to getting even more accomplished as we fight HIV/AIDS and
work to improve health care, here and around the world.
Please accept my apologies if you receive this message more than once --
we tried our best to weed out duplicates!
