      Finance/Administrative Officer

      Performs accounting and administrative functions for country projects,
      ensures accurate financial communications between headquarters and field
      sites, provides accounting and financial reports as required for management
      and external agencies. Responsible for supervision and maintenance of all
      general accounting and administrative functions, which includes all
      transactions related to cash, receivables, fixed assets, trade payables, tax
      payments and accrued or prepaid expenses as well as administrative reports
      for Headquarters. The position has contact with all levels of management as
      well as the day to day administrative management and supervision of all
      activities of the country office at the direction of the Country Director
      and which will include all Human Resources & Administrative paperwork for

      Finance/Administrative Officer

      10+ years of field experience in development and NGO finance and accounting
      practices. Ability to ensure accurate financial communications between
      headquarters and sites, provides accounting and financial reports as
      required for management and external agencies. Capacity for supervision and

      Country Directors

      10+ years of field experience in development programs to implement, monitor
      and report on all country programs; design new program initiatives; identify
      donors, write proposals, serve as liaison for field and HQ as well as the
      donors. There will be short-notice, short-term travel throughout the region.
      Requirements: a full knowledge of donor practices, the program proposal
      process, and development program solicitations and applications; ability to
      manage and motivate highly independent, self-motivated professional and

      IMC seeks 2 Oncologist/Chemotherapists to upgrade the clinical skills of
      Ukrainian medical personnel through medical seminars and hands-on training
      programs. The Oncologist/Chemotherapists will coordinate trainings; advise
      Kharkiv hospital staff in the proper use of medicines and drugs for cancer
      treatment; assist in the Kharkiv hospital's ongoing cancer research and be

      Kosovo. The EMS Officer will work in collaboration with WHO and UN-supported
      local Department of Health to provide advice and input on the revision of
      Kosovo EMS policy; help standardize and coordinate an EMS training
      curriculum; assist Kosovar authorities in the creation of an EMS
      communications system; and prepare local counterparts to manage the program.
      Required qualifications: EMS background; policy definition experience;
      excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to build
      capacity of others in new skills. MD; international work experience; and
      training experience preferred.


      Maternal Child Health Program Director

      International Medical Corps seeks a Maternal Child Health Program Director
      to continue in Kosovo the rebuilding of reproductive health care services,
      training, and education at primary care sites into Kosovo's health system.
      The MCH Director will supervise service provision, training of health care
      providers, and community-based health promotion via women's groups.
      Responsibilities: Plan and implement MCH program activities; represent IMC
      in the local government and the NGO community to gain support for the
      continuation of existing projects and help secure funding for new projects;
      recruit program staff and oversee the orientation of assigned MCH
      coordinators and staff; and assist IMC Kosovo senior management in preparing
      protocols for future funding. Required qualifications: Appropriate clinical
      degree in reproductive health (nurse practitioner, nurse midwife, family

      Maternal Child Health Program Deputy Coordinator

      IMC seeks a MCH Program Deputy Coordinator to assist in the monitoring and
      support of reproductive health care field clinics and training centers in
      Kosovo. Responsibilities: With the guidance of the MCH Director and other
      team members, the Deputy Coordinator will travel to MCH field sites from
      IMC's main field office in Pristina to coordinate reproductive health care
      and trainings; ensure field sites are properly equipped; analyze data
      collected at field sites for program monitoring and adaptation; and
      coordinate the design and dissemination of public health brochures, posters,
      etc. Required qualifications: MPH or other appropriate graduate degree or
      equivalent experience in public health; minimum one year of experience in

      Maternal Child Health Program Training Coordinator

      IMC seeks a Training Coordinator to lead interactive training sessions for
      Kosovar doctors and nurses so that they may teach their peers clinical
      reproductive health care skills. Responsibilities: Train and motivate
      instructor teams to teach hands on problem solving skills with minimal
      resources; and supervise and work closely with a locally hired Trainer
      Coordinator counterpart Required qualifications: Appropriate clinical degree

      Maternal Child Health Program/Minorities Program Coordinator

      IMC seeks a Maternal and Child Health/Minorities Program Coordinator to
      specialize in utilizing IMC resources to address reproductive health in
      ethnic minorities in Kosovo. Responsibilities: Help plan and adapt IMC's MCH
      program to changing needs and conditions in area of responsibility,
      including doing rapid assessments; report ethnic minority health care needs
      in the local government and donor and NGO communities and participate in
      integrated planning of cooperative development activities to address those
      needs; hire local MCH medical staff to run mobile primary health care
      clinics for isolated minority communities; assist the MCH Program
      Coordinator in writing timely reports. Required qualifications: MPH or
      equivalent degree; sensitivity to issues of cultural diversity; two years of

      Maternal and Child Health Program Health Educator and HIS Coordinator

      IMC is currently seeking a MCH Health Educator and HIS Coordinator to work
      alongside a Kosovar counterpart to design community health education courses
      and assemble information on their effectiveness. Responsibilities include:
      help plan and implement specific community-based health education and
      promotion strategies to meet IMC's program objectives; in cooperation with
      Health Educator counterparts, recruit and train Kosovar health educators to
      work in rural communities; design public education materials to promote
      health; prepare timely reports; design appropriate program output variables
      to assess program effectiveness; and supervise data collection, monitoring
      an analysis. Required qualifications: MPH or equivalent degree in health
      promotion activities; minimum 2 years experience in implementing health
      education projects; experience in developing countries; and flexibility.


      Obstetrician/Gynecologist

      IMC is seeking 2 Obstetrician/Gynecologists to work in the Mother and Child
      Health program in Kosovo. The OBGYN Specialist will oversee and coordinate
      health care training activities, collaborate with community-recognized
      health authorities and relevant international health agencies for the
      development of a training curriculum to help the medical team in achieving
      the long term goal of self-sufficient medical care. The doctor's primary
      goals are to upgrade the skills of local counterparts and other medical
      personnel as well as provide some hands-on care, to assess existing skill
      levels of local counterparts through interview and direct observation and to
      perform routine examinations with available counterpart staff.


      Maternal Child Health Program Trainer: Nurse Practitioner

      IMC seeks Nurse Midwives or Nurse Practitioners for its MCH program in
      Kosovo. Nurses will assist in the selection and training of community health
      care workers in clinics and hospitals throughout Kosovo; and work with
      Kosovo health authorities to design and implement training programs.
      Requirements: three years of work experience in an overseas program; prior
      MCH teaching experience (prenatal care, contraception, etc.); the ability to
      cope with stressful situations and work with limited resources; outstanding
      organizational skills; excellent communication skills; must work
      independently under difficult conditions.


      Obstetric Ultrasound Technical Trainer

      An Ultrasound Technician is immediately needed to teach ultrasonography to
      Kosovar gynecologists for three months. Responsibilities: Develop a
      training curriculum; train gynecologists in ultrasound techniques; develop
      appropriate documentation and recording forms; conduct workshops in the
      field. Requires: MD (Radiology or Perinatology); teaching experience; and
      the ability to work in a stressful, cross-cultural environment. MPH desired.



      Construction Engineering Supervisor

      IMC seeks a Construction Engineering Supervisor to manage construction and
      rehabilitation of medical facilities in Kosovo. Responsibilities: Manage
      construction crews; ensure health and safety codes are met in rehabilitated
      medical facilities; supervise contractors; deliver project reports to
      IMC-Kosovo senior staff; and monitor project costs. Required qualifications:
      Construction project management experience; familiarity with structure
      rehabilitation; ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment;

      Field Accountant

      IMC seeks a Field Accountant for the Balkans. The Field Accountant will be
      responsible for all of the bookkeeping of the field office. The Field
      Accountant will be responsible for reviewing and coding expenses to the
      proper grant and account numbers, preparing bank and cash reconciliation,
      maintaining petty cash accounts and maintaining accounts receivables and
      payables. Requires an accounting degree with a minimum of one year post
      degree experience in accounting.

      Nutrition Coordinator (2)

      IMC seeks a Nutrition Coordinator to work in Rutana, Burundi. The Nutrition
      Coordinator will supervise supplementary and therapeutic feeding programs at
      the hospital in Rutana and at rural feeding centers. The Nutrition
      Coordinator will train local staff to administer nutritional supplements;
      provide health care for malnourished children; and provide management and
      supervisory training in preparation for the eventual hand over of the
      feeding program to local staff. Required qualifications: Licensed Physician,
      Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse with experience in therapeutic
      feeding and tropical medicine. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and
      previous experience in developing countries desired.


      Job Openings in Sierra Leone

      Surgeon Trainer

      IMC seeks a Surgeon to reestablish an Operating Theater (OT) at Lungi
      hospital in Sierra Leone. The Surgeon will perform surgery and train local
      doctors to do basic surgeries; train nurses on proper care for pre and
      post-surgical patients, general OT management, sterilization and trauma
      care; assess and propose changes to the hospital management; liaise with
      donors, NGOs and local authorities; and write regular reports on activities.
      Requires: certified Surgeon with background in Critical Care or Emergency
      Room and experience training nurses and doctors. War surgery, Tropical
      Medicine and prior experience working in Africa or a developing country
      desired.


      Hospital Administration Trainer

      lMC seeks an expert in Hospital Administration to restructure the hospital
      administration at Lungi hospital in Sierra Leone. The Hospital
      Administration Trainer will work in conjunction with the Ministry of Health,
      the World Health Organization and a local hospital administrator to create
      transparent finance and administrative systems and personnel policies;
      organize a community based hospital management committee; establish a
      cost-recovery system; setup hospital inventory, procurement and management
      systems; and develop evaluation procedures for hospital staff. Requires:

      Medical Team Leader

      IMC seeks a Medical Team Leader to work in its emergency health training
      program in West Timor, Indonesia. At the direction of the Regional Medical
      Director, the Medical Team Leader will oversee the training activities;
      oversee and help recruit expatriate and local staff; prepare proposals and
      reports on field activities; liaise with the local health authorities, NGOs,
      and donors; and participate in health workshops. Requires: a Registered
      Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with 2 years experience working in a
      humanitarian relief or development project in a developing country.

      Surgeon

      IMC seeks a surgeon to work in its emergency medical program in N. Maluku,
      Indonesia where IMC is providing medical services to the people affected by
      the recent civil unrest. The surgeon must be able to perform a wide range of
      surgical procedures including war-related trauma surgery, and be able to
      work with minimal support in a low-tech environment. The surgeon will
      identify and train operating theater support staff; write regular reports on
      activities; and liaise with local authorities. Requires: a certified surgeon
      with extensive experience in insecure environments and developing countries.
      Experience doing surgery in a war zone desired.


      Field Accountant

      IMC seeks a Field Accountant to work in its emergency medical program in N.
      Maluku, Indonesia. The Field Accountant will oversee and track all
      expenditures for IMC's Maluku program; maintain records of expenditure and

      exceed budget allotments; provide regular financial and pipeline reports to
      headquarters; prepare budgets as required by the program. Required

      Logistics Procurement Officer

      IMC seeks a Logistics Procurement Officer to procure, receive and coordinate
      the transportation of all supplies and equipment required by IMC's programs
      in East Timor. The Logistics Procurement Officer will organize and
      facilitate transpiration of personnel; maintain regular communication with
      field staff; ensure proper use and maintenance of all communications
      equipment; monitor field staff security; and write regular reports on all

      Finance Officer

      IMC seeks a Finance Officer to provide support to the Finance Department at
      its headquarters in Los Angeles. The Finance Officer will prepare grant
      financial documents at direction of the Controller and Senior Finance
      Officers; obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records;
      be responsible for accounts payables, invoices, file maintenance, checks,
      and bank reconciliation, reports and other records for the headquarters
      office; reconcile daily cash receipts, cash disbursement and General Ledger
      books of records, ensure that books are correct and in balance; assemble,
      create, and reconcile month-end accounting entries resolving discrepancies

      Recruitment Assistant

      IMC seeks a detail-oriented and well organized Recruitment Assistant to
      provide administrative support to the Operations Department at its
      headquarters in Los Angeles. The Recruitment Assistant will participate in
      the hiring process; facilitate communication between recruiters, applicants,
      and IMC field offices; process recruiting files; and provide clerical
      support. Required qualifications: Bachelors degree, strong communication
      skills, and flexibility. An interest in international humanitarian relief
      work and familiarity with Microsoft Office and database programs are
      desired.
