      Subject: Melbourne¹s First UFO Conference

Assuming they¹re not abducted by aliens on the way, delegates to
Melbourne¹s first UFO conference will soon be winging their way
into the city for a major international conference on the UFO

The conference aims to provide as much information on this
perennially popular subject as possible. Local and overseas
researchers will be presenting evidence including
world-renowned experts from the United Kingdom and the USA who
will collectively represent more than 150 years experience in
      their field.

Conference organizers stress that the purpose is not to "prove
beyond a shadow of doubt" that UFOs or Alien life exists, but
simply to show that 'something unusual' has been and is
happening which needs to be scientifically and openly

It has been almost 55 years since Kenneth Arnold's famous
sighting of nine strange flying objects at Mount Rainier,
      Washington, USA in June 1947.

Shortly after, a newspaper report based on Arnold¹s description
of the flight characteristics of the objects coined the term
"flying saucers". And even though UFOs have since been reported
in all shapes and sizes since, the term stuck. Since that time
millions of people have reported similar experiences all over
      the world.

The Melbourne UFO Conference plans to interest, excite and no
doubt astound with the revelation of material that they claim is
not reported on T.V., newspapers or radio.

Interviews with the organizers, and in due course key speakers,
      are now available.

      Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 April 2002
      10am - until 6:30pm each day
Dallas Brooks Convention & Function Centre
      300 Albert Street, East Melbourne
$55.00 two days or $38.00 one day

      Jim Marrs United States

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree in journalism from the University of North Texas in 1966
and attended Graduate School at Texas Tech in Lubbock for a
      further two years.

He has worked for several Texas newspapers, including the Fort
Worth Star-Telegram; beginning in 1968 he served as a hardheaded
police reporter. Jim then became a general assignments reporter
covering stories locally, in Europe and the Middle East. After a
leave of absence to serve with a Fourth Army intelligence unit
during the Vietnam War, he became military and aerospace writer
for the newspaper and an investigative reporter.

Since 1980, Jim has been a freelance writer and public relations
consultant. He also published a rural weekly newspaper along
with a monthly tourism tabloid, a cable television show and
      several videos.

Since 1976, Jim has taught a course on the assassination of
President John F. Kennedy at the University of Texas at
Arlington. In 1989, his book, Crossfire: The Plot That Killed
Kennedy, was published to critical acclaim and within three
years had gone into an eighth printing in both hardbound and
softbound editions. Crossfire reached the New York Times
Paperback Non-Fiction Best Seller list in mid-February 1992 and
remained there for more than six weeks. His book later became a
basis for the Oliver Stone film JFK. Jim served as a chief
consultant for both the film's screenplay and production.

Beginning in 1992, Jim spent three years researching and
      completing a non-fiction book on a top-secret government program
involving the psychic phenomenon known as remote viewing - only
to have it mysteriously cancelled as it was going to press in
the summer of 1995. Within two months, the story of
military-developed remote viewing broke nationally in the
Washington Post after the CIA held a press conference revealing
the program but putting their own spin on the psychic studies.
In 2001, Psi Spies was finally published in a paperback form and
      is available from JimMarrs.com.

In May 1997, HarperCollins Publishers published Marrs' in-depth
investigation of UFOs, Alien Agenda. In less than two months,
Alien Agenda garnered many positive reviews and gone into an
eighth printing. Jim has been a featured speaker at a number of
national conferences including the Annual International UFO
Congress and the Annual Gulf Breeze UFO Conference.

Publisher's Weekly described Alien Agenda as "the most
entertaining and complete overview of flying saucers and their
crew in years." The paperback edition was released in mid-1998
and has since become the best-selling UFO book ever in the
United States. Beginning in 2000, he began teaching a course on
UFOs at the University of Texas at Arlington.

An award-winning journalist, Mr. Marrs is listed both in Who's
Who in the World and Who's Who in America. In addition he has
won several writing and photography awards including the
      Aviation/Aerospace Writer's Association's National Writing Award
and Newsmaker of the Year Award from the Fort Worth Chapter of
the Society of Professional Journalists. In 1993, he received
Freedom Magazine's Human Rights Leadership Award.

Jim has appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, CSPAN, the Discovery,
Learning and History Channels, This Morning America, Geraldo,
Montell Williams, Today and The Larry King and Art Bell radio
programs along with numerous national and regional radio and TV
shows. He is a former president of the Press Club of Fort Worth
and a current member of the Society of Professional Journalists,
Sigma Delta Chi, and the Investigative Reporters and Editors.

      Graham Birdsall - UK

Graham W. Birdsall is an internationally-recognised UFO
researcher and the editor of the UK-based monthly UFO Magazine,
widely regarded as the world's leading newsstand UFO publication
which began life as a subscription-only journal in 1981, and
several years prior to that, a newsletter.

Intrigued by the UFO phenomenon, Graham became an active member
and then UFO investigator of the Oxford-based UFO organisation,
Contact I nternational (UK), rising to the status of
Coordinator. He received their prestigious 'Investigator of the
      Year' award in 1981.

Shortly after, Graham established the Yorkshire UFO Society
which, in 1989, was renamed Quest International to cater for
national and worldwide interest. That same year Quest
Publications International Ltd was formed. This ultimately led
to the appearance of Britain's first national UFO newsstand
publication - UFO Magazine - in the summer of 1994.

Over many years, Graham has either contributed to or been
referenced or credited in numerous UFO-related book titles.
Graham has featured in a wide number of leading UK and
international newspaper titles over the years, including: The
Sunday Times, Los Angeles Times, New York Daily News, Mail on
Sunday, TV & Radio Times, Just Seventeen, Maxim, Sun, Daily
Mirror, Sunday Mirror, Who Weekly, The Western Australian, to

      Christopher Martin - UK

For the past six years, Christopher Martin has been filming some
of the clearest video footage of unidentified flying objects
flying over the busy air corridors above London ever seen.

His footage has been shown on the BBC, Channel 4/5, MTV, Live
TV, LWT, Carlton as well as numerous countries around the world.
He is also convinced that, not only are these objects
extra-terrestrial in origin but that this extra-terrestrial
intelligence is attempting to communicate with him.

In his book: Intruders in the Night, he chronicles the events
that have led him to endorse this startling conclusion. His
testimony is startling but yet painfully honest. His evidence is
compelling and will no doubt challenge the sternest sceptic.

The accompanying VHS video documentary - UFOs - The Evidence -
features exclusive video footage of anomalous spheres darting in
and around the skies above London, performing the most
incredible manoeuvres and also includes new never-before seen

ways that our most sophisticated craft cannot. George has been
actively involved in UFO research for over 14 years, and is the
director of the Victorian Branch of the Australian UFO Research
Network. With AUFORN he has investigated many good sighting

      Harry Mason Western Australia

Harry Mason's investigations into the intriguing and mysterious
"fireball" events in Australia have by no means ended with the
conclusion of his series in NEXUS.

Rather than being rare anomalous phenomena, these events seem to
have increased in number and frequency in recent years. They
have been reported with increasing frequency around the world.

Harry Mason, BSc, MSc, MAIMM, MIMM, FGS, is a UK-born geologist
and geophysicist, now resident in Perth, Western Australia. His
30-year career in mineral exploration has had him stationed all
over the world, including Alaska, India, Norway, Mexico,
      Morocco, Sudan and UK.

He has extensive field experience in geo-recce, geological
      mapping, geophysics/ geochemistry, prospecting,
remote-sensing/computer imaging technologies, and seismic and
electromagnetic studies. He specialises in the geology and
resource exploration of WA's Eastern Goldfields. Lately he has
been devoting his private time and expertise to researching
mysterious Australian outback phenomena of possibly natural
      and/or man-made origins.

      Mike Farrell - NSW

Mike Farrell was born in 1951 and raised in Northern California
and has been involved with UFO Research Organisations both in

UFO and related video material. His video library includes
amateur UFO videos, television programs and news reports,
specials and documentaries, lectures and UFO video art from all
parts of the world, including videos in English, Spanish,
German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Scandinavian, Mexican and
      Hebrew languages.

During the 1980', he travelled coast to coast across America
investigating UFO hotspots and attending various UFO events and
conferences. Mike then immigrated to Australia in 1991 and
become actively involved with the UFO Research Group of Sydney,

In 1997, he moved to Port Macquarie, NSW, got a personal
computer and began a project to establish a global email network
of fellow UFO video enthusiasts who regularly volunteer their
time and resources to exchange UFO videotapes with each other.

The goal of this ongoing global project UFO-VAC "UFO-Video
Action Coalition" is to more quickly pass on the latest and most
important UFO video evidence and reports to serious UFO
researchers and groups around the world with. This UFO video
evidence is then analysed and the results are shared with all.
