The Bob Pratt Files - MUFON is proud to host “The Bob Pratt Files” on the MUFON website. Bob passed away on November 21, 2005 after many years of investigating and documenting UFO cases rich with interesting case details. We believe that “no one ever did it better.” Bob was a friend, past MUFON UFO Journal editor, book author, and article contributor. We hope you will go to the MUFON home page at www.mufon.com and click on “The Bob Pratt Files” for a real reading feast.

UFO Sightings at ICBM Sites and Nuclear Weapons Storage Areas – According Robert L. Hastings, the UFO/Nukes Connection is now remarkably well documented by available Air Force, FBI and CIA files. In a new paper he lists his sources and provides first hand interviews with key witnesses. This document should be read by anyone with an interest in UFOs.

Silent Triangle over Ware Shoals, S.C. – Three witnesses saw a black triangular mystery craft pass silently over the highway at 10:30 – 11:00 p.m. on November 25, 2005. Seeing it at first as a bright light, the trio drove until they were directly under the craft. The large craft floated slowly over them almost grazing the tops of the pine trees and appearing as a black triangle with rounded corners. Each corner had a bluish-white light, with red lights between the corners on each side.

MUFON Case Management System is a Success – The relatively new MUFON Case Management System developed by Jan Harzan, Tomas Karlsson and Robert Rawlinson is up and running with sighting reports accumulating at an increasing pace. Additional system enhancements are underway but one of the newest enhancements lists the 20 most recent sightings entered into the system. This gives visitors to www.mufon.com a quick way to see where the most recent activity is occurring.

2006 Remote Viewing Conference – The conference will be held at the Alexis Park Resort in Las Vegas May 12-14, 2006 and is sponsored by the International Remote Viewing Association. This conference will feature the best remote viewing experts in the world.

Mystery Explosion in Space – NASA’s Swift Telescope first spotted a new type of cosmic outburst very close to our galaxy. The event, detected February 18, looks something like a gamma-ray burst, but was only about 440 million light-years away. Scientists speculate that a supernova might be in the making.

Science Invents Invisible Buildings – Research involving microscopic crystals has prompted the theory that walls could be built using materials which homeowners could render transparent at will. The effect is believed to involve the development of a material that exploits the way atoms in matter move. The breakthrough was made at Imperial College in London and the University of Neuchatel, in Switzerland.

What Ever Happened to ‘Negative Resistance’ Discovery – In 1998, a University of Buffalo scientist said he had discovered a material that conducts electricity with ‘negative resistance’ at room temperature. Such a miraculous material would be a quantum leap better than the long-sought room-temperature-superconductors, which would carry electricity friction free, without energy loss. A negative resistance material would actually create electricity. Buffalo’s Deborah Chung demonstrated her experiment at the International Conference on Composites Engineering in Las Vegas. Other scientists quickly denounced her work as “impossible.” I wonder……

V-2 Warhead Vanished – “Washington, Jan. 1 – AP – Scientists and war department ordnance experts faced the new year today with a worry never before experienced by man since Sir Isaac Newton went to sleep under an apple tree. But does it always? That’s what baffles the experts in trying to account for a one-ton warhead which disappeared off a modified German V-2 rocket out in “the wild blue yonder” over New Mexico. Lt. Col. Harvey Rivkins of ordnance headquarters disclosed today that the warhead vanished 10 days ago when the rocket “blew its top” at an altitude of 114 miles – the highest ever attained by a man-made contrivance. Colonel Rivkins, just returned from the testing grounds at White Sands, N.M., said that as far as the experts know the warhead could still be in the skies. Colonel Rivkins said the New Mexico rocket behaved according to the rules going up. But what became of the warhead? Conservative experts think it landed somewhere. Others of the Jules Verne school note that 2,000 pounds, traveling at 2,400 miles per hour, can’t exactly sneak in. The rocket is capable of digging a 40-foot hole on land. Did the warhead go beyond the pull of gravity? Scientists speak of “space platforms,” stopovers for a cup of coffee, refueling spots and transfer points for round-the-world travelers - or maybe to the moon. These “space platforms” are to be rocketed into the sky up beyond the pull of gravity. There they are supposed to just hang. Searching parties have been out by jeep and plane. At altitudes as low as 10, 20 and 100 feet, a plane has criss-crossed the testing area looking for the lost warhead.”

Space, the Final Archdiocese – “Let’s say we discover an extraterrestrial being. The first thing to be determined is, Are you human? Then we ask, Did you have a fall? If the answer is yes, then we ask, Were you redeemed? Then we embark on a debate about whether the Savior could have gone to more than one planet and how he can be fully Good and fully human and fully…well, whatever they are.” This statement was made by Reverend George Coyne, director of the Vatican Observatory, speculating on what Roman Catholic policy might be when the Vatican’s telescope opened at the Mount Graham International Observatory near Tucson, Arizona.

Unconventional Flying Objects: The Best Evidence – This is the theme of the 2006 MUFON International UFO Symposium, held at the Marriott Tech Center Hotel in Denver, Colorado, July 14-16, 2006. Plan now to attend and see some of the best evidence ever collected. And for those that say there is no physical evidence, they are going to be surprised by some of the evidence that will be shown there. Visit the MUFON Symposium part of the MUFON website at www.mufon.com. It will be updated often starting in mid-March.
