      Pogacha is a kind of savory pastry-like bread. It
      is a traditional baked product in Turkey and
      eastern European Balkan countries, which at some
      point in history were under Ottoman rule long
      enough to adopt its cuisine. Pogacha's go best
      with tea. In Turkey, it is mostly eaten for
      breakfast. It is sold in most bakeries and
      neighborhood patisseries.

      They are usually made in the shape of a full moon.
      Several pieces of round dough, 3-5 inches in
      diameter is filled with stuffing such as, feta
      cheese, potato, ground meat, spinach, cheddar and
      onion.

      1 teacup vegetable oil
      1 teacup melted margarine
      1 teacup yogurt
      2 eggsSalt, baking powderFeta cheese
      7 teacups flour

      Mix flour, vegetable oil, melted
      margarine; yogurt, one egg plus the white of the
      other egg and knead the dough well. Place a damp
      cloth on top of it and wait for half an hour. Mash
      the cheese with a fork. Cut pieces as big as an
      egg from the dough, flatten in your palm, place
      cheese in the center and roll it. You can decorate
      the edges with a fork. Put them in a pre-heated
      oven and bake at 105 degrees Centigrade for 20-25
      minutes. If desired you can sprinkle paprika,
      sesame seed or black cumin.
