Re: Anyone heard from Dave?

I had an email conversation with him around the first part of Feb. He has been working and once again indicated he might get back to updating the program???

Anyone heard from Dave?

It's been awhile since anyone has asked, what's Dave been up too? I've still got turbocnc on a lathe and on a mill. I'm running an older version on my mill

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

I appreciate all the responses. I ordered a DigiSpeed controller and hoping that will do the trick! Thanks Steve

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

so what if you make a one-shot circuit to trigger laser pulses and clock that off an axis step pin? then your code would be nothing more than steps on an axis

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

Hey guys, Thank you all for the responses. With every response, my understanding increases. My first "cnc" laser project was comparatively easy. I had a co2

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

If you put a micro on the end of a 'step' line, you could just use one line. The idea would be to set up the axis, say B, with a big increment, so one step =

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

As previously stated, the digispeed control software as implemented in Turbocnc outputs a step direction control. You have three output pins as configured in

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

How does that step/direction speed control interface work? Is it kind of like adjusting a knob, turn up or down a notch at a time? ... From: "Art Eckstein

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

Just to jump in with what is probably an ignorant question, but where are you going to get the pwm with TurboCNC??? To the best of my knowledge, the only

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

Hi, Thank you for the response. Yes, exactly. I would like to be able to modulate the laser brightness using PWM. Ideally this would be tied to spindle speed

Re: Question 2 - .ini for probotix ?

I am sorry for my poor choice of words. I should have asked, will someone share their config with me. But, once I make something work, I will share. Steve

Please do. I don't use a probotix board, but I'm sure other people will in the future.

Re: Question 3 - laser control PWM

Ima confused about this question. Are you asking how to modulate the laser via the PWM signal so that what would be spindle speed becomes laser brightness?
