all true, but I am having problems with dual power radios that have normal AC power and DC vibrator power even when I use the AC power only and the vibrator

The problem is that the vibrators, whether solid state or mechanical still had to vibrate or oscillate at 60hz in order to power the existing transformer in

Virator always hum…that’s what they do. Just like listening to an AM radio in auto built before 1955…We just got used to it. Since they use a buzzer to

    Never had a radio or linear with a vibrator power supply that did not hum! I never actually tried to pin it down....just lived with it. The worst was from a

    Thanks again for the offer. I found three 600v poly. the radio works now. Just got a slow decay on receive sensitivity. I suspect it'll take a while to run
