Who will come:
All Chinese people and their friends are welcome to join the crowd to
celebrate one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals -
Mid-Autumn Festival (a.k.a. Moon Festival) as well as the national day of
People's Republic of China and Beijing's recent winning to host the Olympic
2008 games. Mid-Autumn is a time for family members and loved ones to
congregate and enjoy the full moon - an auspicious symbol of abundance,
harmony and luck. As Chinese community grows rapidly in the Bay area,
"Golden Fall Celebration" provides a great opportunity for the entire
community to celebrate its heritage and culture.
What to expect:
This event is designed for all age groups. All participants can enjoy museum
tours guided by volunteers and trolley rides for park sightseeing. For
sports lovers, there will be volleyball game and Tug of War competition
between organizations. For professional or amateur singers, there will be
Karaoke on the site. A variety of kid's games will let all kids have a great
In addition, a wonderful show will be presented to the audience by
BayChinese member artists and clubs. Performances include various folk
dancing, fashion show, Peking Opera, music instruments, acrobat, comic
skits, folk songs and pop songs.
