Wayne, looking at your they units are using this block of id's to contact SES Dispatch (note most of these id's are over 5mths old and may have changed since then) -

      044 4182=4001-380 SES DISPATCH CH 1
      044 4183=4001-381 SES DISPATCH CH 2
      044 4184=4001-382 SES DISPATCH CH 3
      044 4185=4001-383 SES DISPATCH CH 4
      044 4186=4001-384 SES DISPATCH CH 5
      044 4187=4001-385 SES DISPATCH CH 6
      044 4188=4001-386 SES DISPATCH CH 7

      Thanks Mick.

      Today I've heard
      044 5504=SES DISPATCH talking to

044 4184=SES Frankston Rescue 1 ( based on the verbal call sign thay they were using to talk to / when talking to SES despatch )
044 4184=SES Warragul Rescue 1 ( based on the verbal call sign thay they were using to talk to / when talking to SES despatch )
044 4184=SES Warragul car ( based on the verbal call sign thay they were using to talk to / when talking to SES despatch )
       a couple of days ago

044 4184=SES Ballarat Rescue 1 ( based on the verbal call sign thay they were using to talk to / when talking to SES despatch )
044 4184=SES Statewide Rescue ( based on the verbal call sign thay they were using to talk to / when talking to SES despatch )

All these different units were all using I.D. 4184 as apposed to an Individual I.D.

I was just wondering why all theses units keep coming up as I.D. 4184 and not Individual I.D. units like the RAV units ( of which mine is way out of date ) and the Vicpol units ect

I thought as soon as they keyed up their Individual I.D. was transmitted and that each transmitter had it's own Individual I.D. again like the RAV units and the Vicpol units.

Are they able to change the I.D. sent by the unit to switch between an Individual I.D. and what looks like ( depending on your feedback ) a statewide rescue turnout I.D. )

On the subject of the RAV units my TV shows regardless to who keys up first that the mobile unit is the origin and ETSA is the target I'll screen grab my TV and email it to you to have a look at to see what I'm talking about.

      Regards
      Wayne.

Wayne, these would be dispatch type id's (similar to a group call). Unfortunately TV can't tell which unit/vehicle is transmitting.
I gave up/filtered out long ago on monitoring SES on the SMR Network as I was missing out on RAVNet and others due to the long "hangtime" of some of the transmissions.

The below id's are what I had logged up until the start of this year -

      044 5502=4401-900 SES DISPATCH 1
      044 5503=4401-901 SES DISPATCH 2
      044 5504=4401-902 SES DISPATCH 3
      044 5505=4401-903 SES DISPATCH 4
      044 5506=4401-904 SES DISPATCH 5
      044 5507=4401-905 SES DISPATCH 6
      044 5508=4401-906 SES DISPATCH 7
      044 5509=4401-907 SES DISPATCH 8
      044 5510=4401-908 SES DISPATCH 9
      044 5511=4401-909 SES DISPATCH 10
