From the same designers as Tikal, it shares the iconography of a lost temple in the jungle, but very little else with the original game. Instead of spending action points to uncover items from the jungle, now players are claiming rooms in a temple for area majorities. I did miss one key aspect of the initial set-up (namely allowing players to start with keys in hand) but as we were all penalized the same â€" we didn’t restart the game when this was discovered at intermediate scoring. (Keys allow one to move through the temple, need to be discarded to pay for some costs, and can also be set aside when first acquired for possible points.) The game did proceed with Tim and Rich gaining the max points from certain rooms while Dave and Tim concentrated on getting some of the hidden room treasure points. While Rich was the first into the final treasure room, the points gained weren’t nearly enough to offset the advantages the others had gained:
      > Tim: 143 points
      > Dave: 140 Points
      > Rich: 125 Points
      > With time still left in the evening, we once again brought out 7 WONDERS. And for variety, we all opted for the B-Side of our wonders. Rich went for a military strategy early (having the Colossus of Rhodes which does award some military points) as well as scoring civilization points. Tim (Great Pyramid) went for Wonder completion, w hile Dave (Hanging Gardens) went for Science. Copying the format of last week….military points, treasury, wonder, civilization cards, commerce cards, guilds, and science:
      > Dave: 56 points ( -5 Military, 3 Treasury, 3 Wonder, 0 Civilization, 0 Commerce, 0 Guild, 49 Science)
      > Rich: 52 Points ( 15/ 5/ 7/ 17/ 0/ 6/ 2)
      > Tim: 52 Points ( 2/ 2/ 20/ 11/ 8/ 9/ 0)

And hope to read Navegador also prior to Wednesday. So plenty of choices (not only these, but also any other game that might be requested). So what do you want to play and who will join me for….
