"What does everyone doing for fun on the island?" Well, keep in mind that
there is T.V. on the island and a pub. Also keep in mind that it may be fun
for the islanders just sitting in front of Prince Philip Hall and chatting
to each other, or celebrating a birthday. And if there is nothing of that
sort, why not just glancing at the sea, silently?
"enough jobs for everyone on the island"? True to "normal" standards.
However, already today there is more money in the islanders' hands that they
can reasonably spend. Example: There are more than 100 cars on the island.
"Paper about life on the island": Before you finish your paper I would
strongly recommend you visit the island before. There is a lot of
romanticism about the history of the island, but today's situation is
drastically different. Due to numerous and increasing contacts with the
"real" world, youngsters feel a huge pressure to emigrate and, if this is
not possible, to imitate all the nonsense that the "normal" world has to

I am currently doing a paper on your fantastic
island. Since my interenet discovery of your island I
have been fasinated with it. My paper is about the
life and time in Tristan da Cunha. I was just
wondering what does everyone doing for fun on the
island? Also how does the job/people ratio work out?
It seems like their wouldn't be enough jobs for
everyone on the island. If no one minds I'm going to
occasionally ask a question or two to help with my
research, afterall there is no better source is there?
=) Well thanks for your time and I hope one day to
visit your beautiful island.
