      Today's second item has nothing to do with Tristan, but is remarkable because
      the sun shines so seldom in the Antarctic. It's for the many penguin lovers
      who are members of this forum. The photo shows the king penguin colony in St.
      Andrews, South Georgia. What a great photo!

      We have flocks of laughing gulls that stand together when they have nothing
      better to do. But on my island they always face into the wind. All of them.
      There is never an exception. Why don't penguins know they're supposed to do
      that?
