      It is quite surprising to me that there has been no mention of the
      severe storm on about Wednesday 23.5.2001 on Tristan da Cunha. Many
      roofs were blown off in Edinburgh, power was down abd only one telephone
      worked. Latest news was that they were beginning to restore services but
