First of the Year Just started my first hatch of triops for this year. Put the eggs in some distilled water last night and already see a few hatched. This never gets old for me.

Re: fishy water Generally this is a bad idea for hatching your triops. Tank water is usually hard water ie: it has a lot of minerals in it. Triops need distilled water for

Re: Pink triops Check on ebay. Don sells these subspecies of T. cancrifomis called ebi kabuto. They're pretty small but they have a pink pigmentation on their shell and body.
