Partnership Plans Traveler Information For Commercial Vehicles

Madison, Wis. May 2 - TranSmart Technologies, Inc., Madison, Wis. teaming
with the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Foundation, Alexandria, Va.,
formed a public-private partnership with the metropolitan Phoenix-Tucson
AZTech corridor to provide traveler information services for Commercial
      Vehicle Operations (CVO).

Part of the AZTech Phase II deployment, this project will build a CVO
Traveler Information System - FleetOnline - for dissemination of real-time
traveler information, tailored to the needs and functioning of the CVO
community. The FleetOnline server will function as a traveler information
"clearinghouse" for the state of Arizona, drawing data from across the state,
including the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas.

The project also offers an opportunity to apply the public/private
partnership concept and creates a working platform on which the CVO industry
and public and private collectors and distributors of traveler information
      can work cooperatively together.

The system is scheduled to be launched on July 12, 1999.

      Contact: Connie Li (608) 273-4740.
