      Memorial Day of Fujio
      Kigo for late summer

He wrote a lot of haiku using onomatopoetic devices.

tori wataru kokikokikoki to kan kireba

      birds migrating
      sound "koki-koki-koki"
      as I open a can

He opened a can, it was just after the war and his joy of getting food
      is expressed in this sound.
It could also be the sound of the birds flying over.

      (tr. Gabi Greve)
