  • There are some projects around, that does this job. But (correct me if I'm wrong) Scott's OT3m have more abilities, bigger memolries and the code is tested and superior. That's why I said we are waiting!! What I saw, OLED uses 2 specific analog pins.

  • We all wait for that!!! I'd say, on top, constantly the current coordinates, and the packet received underneath, with it's full path, and calculated distance and bearing! Stelios 5B4ALR

  • Hi, 2 things: 1) Nuvi knows that an FMI cable is connected, as soon as it senses an 8,2kΩ resistance between leg 4 and 5 of USB on the SIDE usb port! I don't see something like that on your schematic, so test it. Common USB cables do not use pin 4 at all. Some charging cables though, do. 2) I had to play with these patches to make it work. But I used a homebrew cable, so probably...

  • I don't know if this is irrelevant, but on my setup on T3m and NUVI 350, I had to play with a patching command, in order to make it operate. I finally used: PATCH 005FFF0104 (sets the TX invert bit) Is there something similar for T2?? As Marcel said: "Hopefully you saved a copy of the configuration before reflashing the FW" !! • This is not the "official" way to deal with the, by mistake, 2N7002 soldered in place of D2. But, I operate it that way, and it seems ok. Stelios 5B4ALR

  • Can you read on D2, if it is " K7K A2 " written on it? If it does, there is a fix on the Photos section, in the 5B4ALR folder. It is also shown the problem. Stelios 5B4ALR

  • Hello again, My electronics knowledge is "basics", but, is there a way to replace 2 diodes having common cathodes, with a FET? Maybe, with a PNP transistor, having in mind that e-b current usually is limited. As the FET stands now, it is used the internal Drain-Source diode with a limitation of continuous 115mA, on the side of usb voltage in (see diagram). If I'm wrong, please...

  • Hello! Instead of D2, is a Q2 (2N7002) soldered on its place! I put a 1N4148 between the regulator output and the output of "D2". I will try to upload a photo of the fix.

  • Sorry, is the same issue with a 2 days ago topic T3-Mini Vin question. Scott, instead of D2, is the Q2 soldered on its place! I will check if Q2 is correct!

  • Dear Scott and all with this problem (if I'm not the only one). I tried to power the t3-mini via VIN pin, with no luck (measurement on pin 5V was 0,9v during VIN 8v connection). Though, it was powered fine via usb (measurement on pin 5V was 4,3v during usb connection). I discovered that D2 was same part as Q2 which is obviously the problem... I hope Murfy will only follow me (got...
