Yes, the Theodore Roosevelt Association and the Friends of Sagamore Hill have endorsed the "Sagamore Hill Collection" - of which that bear is a part.  There are also bears representing each one of TR's children, and several holiday ornaments.

They are manufactured by Midwest of Cannon Falls, and are not Steiff.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the bears goes to the Friends of Sagamore Hill, in order to help maintain TR's home, and to the Theodore Roosevelt Association, to help maintain TR's legacy.

We have given Midwest of Cannon Falls a US exclusive.

      Best wishes from Oyster Bay,

The following link describes an "exclusive" offering for a "Rough Rider Teddy Bear" that is endorsed both by the TR Association and the Friends of Sagamore Hill.

Are these endorsements true?  Are there other endorsements for centennial-anniversary bears?

Additionally, does anyone know if this is a German made Steiff bear, an American made bear, or a "Made in China" replica?

      Thanks,
      John Yirak
