Stalling - reprise
- The alt.autos.volvo group is getting hot about failures of the
Electronic Throttle Module in an estimated 200K-300K 70-series Volvos
made between 1999 and 2001. Apparently there is a class action suit
pending against Volvo regarding the alleged extreme failure rate,
particularly after 70K miles. The typical symptoms center on loss of
power, causing the engine to drop to idle. Repair is roughly $1000 US.
So... why the ruckus about stalling of Prius cars and not about the
Volvos stalling? Just wondering.
