      The alt.autos.volvo group is getting hot about failures of the
      Electronic Throttle Module in an estimated 200K-300K 70-series Volvos
      made between 1999 and 2001. Apparently there is a class action suit
      pending against Volvo regarding the alleged extreme failure rate,
      particularly after 70K miles. The typical symptoms center on loss of
      power, causing the engine to drop to idle. Repair is roughly $1000 US.

      So... why the ruckus about stalling of Prius cars and not about the
      Volvos stalling? Just wondering.
