2010 center brake light
- The center rear brake light on my 2010 Prius literarly broke from its attachment to the rear spoiler.
It was never bumped or hit. The portion of the light that was screwed onto the spoiler is still screwed on. There were two circular cracks about the plastic separating the attached part from the main light. The light still works. It was hanging by the wires.
My only thought was the slamming down of the trunk eventualy broke the attachment.
Therefore this must be a factory defect as it should be made to take this regular closing of the trunk.
Has anyone had similar experience? (class action ?)
Has anyone got a fix ? (crazy glue?)
- I found Fix-All cement in a tube to be the best around household glue.
Available at Dollar Tree.
I use it on my RV's plexiglass skylight to cement and seal cracks that
had leaked. It works great outdoors and does not seem to decay in sunlight.
