Re: [torchwood] OT Queer as Folk, was OT: British TV
- I agree...no matter what *pairing* you end up rooting for, it's not an entirely happy ending, in regards to who you like.
Cowlip did get one couple right, but not until the final episode, and since you haven't watched all the seasons, I won't spoil the ending for you.
But if I have to choose between the two series...I'd take the UK hands down!!!!! And I didn't get to see it until after the third season of the US version.
My only regret is that I met the cast of the US and not the UK....I'm totally enthralled with Craig Kelly.
Now....if the cast of Torchwood would ever come to the US....!!! Deep sigh.....

Of course, we all enjoy the best of US TV too - there's some good stuff
there. I'm currently working my way through "Queer as Folk" the US version,
which is very different to the UK version but fantastic. I love the
fairytale elements of the story, and that all the stories are resolved in
one or two episodes, usually with a happy ending. Much as I love TW, you can
over-dose on angst.
Oh, honey... If you're watching the US Q.a.F tohave less angst... I fear for you. As someone who has seen every episode at least 5 times, let me tell you- it isn't happy endings and angst fre. What season are you in? Cause... that show is deep and angsty. Especially after season two...
