      Wrestlers and Parents,

First of all I would like to congratulate our novice wrestlers for a great showing yesterday at the Novice Tournament.  After going over the final stats, we went 22-7 with 19 pins for and 5 pins against.  This is a testament to the hard work and dedication over the last three weeks from our great novice class this year.  Though there is still much to learn and higher hurdles to jump, there we are off to a good start.

Secondly, we are going to have our next fundraiser this coming Saturday, our annual letter writing campaign.  We will be requiring all athletes to provide 20 names and addresses of family, friends, neighbors, and any other individuals that might be willing to donate to the success of this program.  In order to make this run as smoothly as possible, we are asking for all athletes to put the names and addresses electronically onto labels.  If you do not have labels, please put the names and addresses in an Excel spreadsheet with the name, address, city, state, and zip code all in separate columns.  Please use this week to gather the names and addresses and put them onto labels/Excel file.  Also, please continue selling the Championship Fundraising cards as we will be finishing up with our blitz this coming Thursday.  All athletes are required to sell 20 cards to support the team.

So far we are off to a good start and I want to get all the fundraising finished so we can focus on what is important: Wrestling!  I am enthusiastic about this season with our new additions and looking forward to career best seasons from our veterans.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday filled with family, friends, and a little wrestling.

      Yours in wrestling,
