The more research I do about these online guides,
the more confusing it gets.
I'm not technical enough to understand all this nonsense but ....
I just noticed the story below and it sounds like things are
going to get MUCH worse with the TIVO guide.
Instead of getting their guide fixed, they apparently are
devoting their efforts to squeezing more money out of it.

the more confusing it gets.Hydra is the codename for the newest generation of TiVo's UI - the complete redesign that is radically different from the earlier UI. The first generation HD UI, which still has a lot of design commonality with the original SD UI, is codenamed Encore.Hydra and Encore aren't guides, they're the entire UI - visual design, software, etc. They both use the same guide data and just present them differently. So neither has anything to do with the quality of the information itself, just how you see it.I'm still using Encore and don't plan to switch to Hydra unless they force it on us.--
