      Dear Group;
          Before exhaustively delving into and researching the differences and procedural variations and benefits, have any among you info to validate the use and advantage of one type of copyright over the other.
          California is none too keen on recognizing Common Law, pre-empting such claims and standing as inferior to their defacto statutory posturings.  Is there a bonafide copyright procedure that circumvents the need for indulging the defacto monopoly? My intent is to protect (and restrict) home inspection reports to the immediate Buyer and to stay subsequent Buyer's reliance and benefit where no privity exists. Disclaimers and caveat language to the contrary appear to have little effect or standing.
          Thanking you again for your valued consideration.
