I had my "Notice of Default" recorded with county recorder's office.

I have a question about proceedure.  I have sent multiple letters (to someone who says I owe them money) asking questions and none of my letters were ever responded to.  So, I sent a notice of default - with no response - and then a final notice of default - once again - no response.  Now in order to make it legally binding, I need to file it and get it on record.  I am not asking for damages or any kind of compensation - only that the "insinuated debt" is dropped.  Do you know how I would go about getting this document on record?
