With only a 13% chance of winning, the Tarrytown Nordiques was the
name drawn from the BEER GLASS at this years FHL Meeting to win the
2nd ever FHL Draft Lottery. In winning the lottery the Nords move up
from 3rd to pick first overall in ROUND 1.

The commish had this to say...
"The Nords really hold a position of power with that number 1 pick &
have a tone of options at their disposal. I'll bet many teams will
be calling to inquire and the Nords can really improve their TOP 10
protectable players in a trade for it. They could also choose to
throw a player of their own back into the draft and acquire the
player at a lesser salary. Overall they hold the cards heading into
what should be a very active off-season."

The Lake St. George Leafs at 25% had the best chance at winning but
      will now pick #2 overall.

Last season the Victoria Harbour Habs with only a 5% chance moved up
to take the first overall pick.

Here is a look at the order for the FHL Year #8 Draft...

      1. Tarrytown Nordiques (Draft Lottery Winner, 10th place)
      2. Lake St. George Leafs (12th place)
      3. Orillia Wild Action (11th place)
      4. Richmond Hill Rage (9th place)
      5. Victoria Harbour Habs (8th place)
      6. Bedford Battalion (7th place)
      7. Innisfil Q-Crew (6th Place)
      8. Worcester Icecats (5th Place)
      9. Sparrow Lake Cyclones (3rd place)
      10. Sandford Storm (2nd place)
      11. Canadian Hitmen (Presidents Cup Winner, 1st place)
      12. Barrie Ice Dogs (4th place, Superior Cup Champion).
