Re: 'STROM Swapping - Storm and Wild complete Deal
- I don't know what to think on this one. LIKE SEEING TRADES THO -
GOOD WORK BOYS.
Have put themselves in a postion where they too, now have to rely on
Mario LEMIEUX's back in order to acquire 3rd period points. Let's
hope for STORM the no-name defencemen returns to form and still
quarter backs the potent Powerplay with LEMIEUX, STRAKA and
KOVALEV...Just being on the ice should get him points. If TARNSTROM
returns to form - LOOK OUT FHL - if not you just handed the HITMEN
the PRESIDENTS cup. HOPE LEETCH IS BACK SOON....
Kariya is a good pick up and a big name forward the STORM needed,
since most of his second string forwards are over achieving. Who
would of thought it would be a lil club out of Sandford that would
re-unite KARIYA and SELANNE.
Does Storm have more trades up his belt?....the deadline should be
Great Pick up for the WILD....So what did he really lose for
LIDSTROM (NORRIS TROPHY WINNER) ...Not Much...He acquired TARNSTROM
in waiver and never played him...out injured....and acquired KARIYA
for RICHARDS and CHISTOV. SO really he traded CHISTOV, RICHARDS,
2nd waiver Pick for LIDSTROM and a 2nd round DRAFT pick. Looks a
little lopsided this way.
WIld have put themselves in a position where:
1. They may squeek back into the playoffs.
2. They have Insurance against PRONGERS possible retirement.
3. If PRONGER is back. Built a Power house with PRONGER,LIDSTROM
and MORRIS anchoring the Defence for next year with an extra pick in
next years draft.
Might have to start trading his defensive talent to acquire some
quality forwards or first and second period points will faulter.
The race for that final spot should be exciting for many clubs....
See more upside bennefit to WILD's needs - Not sold on
TARNSTROM......Good trade tho boys........You both met some needs.
What a difference a day makes.
