CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW FHL CHAMPIONS... THE LAKE ST. GEORGE LEAFS!!!

      SUPERIOR CUP FINAL:
Lake St. George Leafs vs. Sandford Storm
Game #1: Storm 6, Leafs 5 (Storm lead series 1-0)
      Game #2: Storm 1, Leafs 4 (Series tied 1-1)
Game #3: Storm 0, Leafs 2 (Leafs win series 2-1)

The series was close form start to finish but in the end the Leafs proved to be too strong and came back to win the last two games of the series. This victory marks the Leafs first Superior Cup Title. Congrats to GM Brian Worsely on a job well done in building his winning team. In addition to the title the Leafs win the $300 first prize!

We also congratulate Jim Sendal and the Sandford Storm on a great run to the Final... As runner up they win $125!

Last years champion the Canadian Hitmen rolled the dice this season by going with a reduced Farm team to pay for his high salary players. It appears the risk did not pay off and in the end ran into injury problems. With a depleted roster the Hitmen bowed out early to the LSG Leafs in two straight games. The Hitmen did just enough however to squeek by the Las Vegas Rippers in the Bronze metal series to finish 3rd overall in the playoffs. With the loss the Rippers finish 4th in the playoffs picking up a respectable $50 prize.

      BRONZE METAL SERIES:
Canadian Hitmen vs. Las Vegas Rippers (Rippers lead series 1-0)
Game #1: Rippers 5, Hitmen 0 (Rippers lead series 1-0)
      Game #2: Rippers 3, Hitmen 5 (Series tied 1-1)
Game #3: Rippers 1, Hitmen 3 (Hitmen win series 2-1)

One of the hottest teams over the final weeks (finishing top 2 in points 5 of the final 6 weeks) was the Orlando Ice Dogs. The only reason the Dogs were put out early was they ran into an even hotter Leafs squad in round 1. Regardless the Dogs went to the consolation side and ran the table with series wins over the Blues and Q-Crew to capture the Consolation Cup Title.

      CONSOLATION CUP FINAL:
Orlando Ice Dogs vs. Innisfil Q-Crew
      Game #1: Ice Dogs 9, Q-Crew 0 (Ice Dogs lead series 1-0)
      Game #2: Ice Dogs 1, Q-Crew 5 (Series tied 1-1)
      Game #3: Ice Dogs 5, Q-Crew 2 (Ice Dogs win series 2-1)
Orlando Ice Dogs win CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP

In other FHL News the Aurora Hurricanes won the Inferior Cup title and best odds at first pick in this years FHL Draft lottery.

Thanks to all for another great season! Talk to everyone over the summer as we can start trade talk again July 1st after our league break.
