      "Dream Wheels" kicks off the 5th Annual Bike Month '08 in Albany with an Opening
      Reception on 1st Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Upstate Artists Guild. The exhibit runs from
      May 2 to 23, 2008.

      The Featured Artist is Taliah Lempert, an artist from Brooklyn who specializes in Bicycle
      Paintings and Portraits (http://www.bicyclepaintings.com/index.html).

      Dream Wheels – An Artistic Celebration of the Bicycle,
      Opens: Friday, May 28, 6:00-9:00 PM
      Where: Upstate Artists Guild Gallery, 247 Lark Street, Albany

      What: Other artists are working in/with photography, jewelry, watercolor, bicycle parts,
      oil, and pencil to create their interpretations of bicycling, bicycles, or bike culture. The
      opening will conclude with UAG's 1st Friday Film "Still We Ride" by local filmmaker Andrew
      Lynne

      Supported Organizations: Fund raising at the "Dream Wheels" opening on May 2, 2008 will
      support the Albany Bicycle Coalition (ABC) and the New York Bicycling Coalition (NYBC).
      ABC Advocates for bicycles for transportation and recreation and promotes bicycling
      issues in Albany and the Capital District. It hosts rides and other bike-related activities.
      NYBC is a statewide organization that promotes legislative change to support "bike-ped"
      issues and offers educational programs on safe cycling.
