Visual Perception Acuity.
- I often submit articles to the national press although invariably the subject
Is too contentious to be printed. Here is one I sent today to the editor of a journal with a 5,000,000 readership, who often prints my submissions. It concerns the television live presentation of the New Year's fireworks display on the banks of the River Thames:
"Visual Perception Acuity
I wonder how many eagle-eyed viewers watching the brilliant
fireworks display from the banks of the River Thames on New Year's Eve spotted the diminutive patches of white, when the cameras panned into crowd close-up.
This should be a warning to all at the start of the New Year. Those pale faces
are infiltrating the very fabric of our society.
They're a cunning lot, ignoring the health warnings of oncologists; they spend hours beneath ultra-violet lamps, endeavouring to conceal their true colours.
Where will it end? It's time to put our feet down with a firm hand or before very long they'll be running the whole show"
I always include my name, address and postcode because P.C. I ain't and I care not who knows it.
A very happy New Year to all members, whatever your epidermal pigmentation.Rubicon,Fulvid,Ebon,Ecru or Chalky, I've lived and served among you all without the slightest disputation.
