Friday, July 8th - at Cultiva Cafe', 11th & G sts, Lincoln: the Writers Workshop:  the F. St. Community Center Writer's Workshop meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month at the F.St. Community Center at 13th and F. from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Every 3 months we have a reading locallly and a guest-facilitator joins us. In the past we have had: William
Kleofkorn--the former state poet laureate(bless his dear soul), Ted Kooser-- the former US poet laureate, Marge Saiser, Hilda Raz and Greg Kuzma to mention just a few. I--Terrance Oberst-- have been at the helm of the workshop for 6 years this past March. Many of our members have mental illnesses, but together we find creative strength and common purpose that is quite exhilerating. I know my way around a writing workshop especially for people who are "acutely sensitive." Come and hear our divergent stories, our heartfelt poetry and prose with a unique vision of the world you may not find again.
