      Monday, December 20th, at 8 pm -- Poetry at the Moon presents Amy & Allie Plettner, and Sarah McInstry-Brown Mason of Omaha, in a fine evening of poetry---
       
      AMY PLETTNER's poetry has appeared in the anthologies Nebraska Presence and Times of Sorrow, Times of Grace. Other publications include Plains Song Review, Omaha World-Herald's"Everyday Poetry" series, Nebraska Life, and Celebrate: A Collection of Women’s Writing. Amy has her first book of poetry coming out in spring, 2011, from Wayne State College Press. Also, she graduated from the University of Nebraska MFA in Writing this year.  She lives south of Denton with her family, and enjoys bicycling, taking baths, and life in Nebraska.
       
      Allie Plettner is a student at the University of Nebraska
       
      SARAH McKINSTRY-BROWN studied poetry at the University of Sheffield, UK, and the University of New Mexico. Her work is published in a number of anthologies, including Freedom to Speak: The 2003 National Poetry Slam Anthology, The Great American Road Show, and she will be featured in the National Poetry Slam Anthology. She competed in the National Poetry Slam 2001, 2002, and as a member of the first ever Omaha Poetry Slam team in August of 2003. Her most recent chapbook, Dancing With Statues, was put out by Morpo Press and was preceded by two spoken word CD’s, one of which she promoted on a 23 state North American tour in 2001. In September of 2002, Mckinstry-Brown read at the Nebraska Book Festival and her poem “Small Disasters and Infinite Beauty” was published in the Reading and Comprehension section of the West Virginia Standardized test for tenth graders. Currently she is working towards a Masters Degree in History at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Born in 1977, McKinstry-Brown, a native of Albuquerque, now makes her home with her husband, Matt Mason, in Omaha.
