Monks of Gaden Shartse Monastery are touring the US and are currently
providing blessings, discussions, teachings, healing, gatherings,
dinners, and other events in northeast Ohio (Medina, Ashtabula, and
various locations in and around Cleveland). On October 13th they will
be in Pennsylvania for a week and from there travel to New York. Their
US tour will end with a several-months stay in several locations in
California and Nevada. More detailed information about the tour and
      activities can be found at
      <http://www.gadenshartsetour.org/Schedule.htm>. You'll find contact
      information there also.

The home page of this same website has much more information about the
tour, about Buddhism, and about the monks themselves. In addition, they
      have a blog at <http://gadenshartsetour.info>.

Proceeds from the monks' activities will go to fund a public (both
Indian and Tibetan) hospital and other facilities in a Tibetan refugee
community in Karnataka, India by the Tibetan population in exile. This
settlement of Tibetan refugees is the largest of its kind in India and
was first established in 1966 from land donated by the Indian
government. More information about this settlement and its
transplantation from Tibet can be found on Wikipedia at
      <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganden_Monastery>.

      Best to all,
      ken
