Is this perhaps a customisable database program written in Basic or Extended
            Basic?

I have several Basic and XB programs which show how a spreadsheet can be
written, but nothing for a database and I'd be interested to see how this is
            done.

Maybe copyright would rear its ugly head, but I'd like to see this program
LISTed so I could study it. Is there any chance of this?

This book never came out in South Africa because TI had already assassinated
their 99/4A, and it seems to be unknown in Englan as well, so the chances of
finding a used copy here are zero minus.

Sorry about that last one... Hit the send macro too fast...

The book has a listing for the DB Program (Cassette and Diskette
versions). The book is copyrights and explicitly states that it may not
                be reproduced without written consent.

This is grey-territory for me. I'm in the camp that says it is 20+
years old and any monetary value for the intellectual material is gone.
I will whip out the scanner and run a couple of scans of the code
listing. I will try and get it done tonight and publish a temporary
link for anyone to fetch it. The link will be dropped in a couple of
                days.

For good Karma I will try and contact the publisher or authors and get
                consent to release these.

I don't want us to start another unresolvable discussion thread about
copyright, I'm a writer myself and would defend it as much as anybody. But
simply reading an author's work (code in this case) doesn't violate any
copyright, and you'd be quite at liberty to lend out the actual book to me
or anybody else to read, so your proposal to do this by virtual means seems
                  fair enough.

Not having seen it, I cannot be sure, but judging from
contemporary programs of the era, I would suggest that
it would probably be nothing more than a "trivia"
program. The "data base" term was probably loosely
                    used.

Even if that is not true, it would be a "trivial" data
                    base indeed.

Have a look at the Home Computer Journal disks on the
WHT website, there was one such "intelligent" data
base program on one of those...

I've been trying to track down what happened to the
company to resolve who, if anyone, owns the copyrights
on their accounting and other software.

Nobody on the Mac lists I'm on heard of the company,
except one person who sent me a slightly newer
version of the software I have.
