      Torchwood This Week
      February 7, 2009 - Vol 3, No 6
The weekly guide to Torchwood transmissions.
      by Benjamin F. Elliott

BBC America http://www.bbcamerica.com hyped the third series of
Torchwood (title - Children Of Earth) at the New York Comic Con on
Thursday. A roughly minute long trailer was released with scenes from
the 5 episode story. People in the UK can see the trailer at BBC's
Torchwood website http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood . I have not heard
of a legal method for those of us outside the UK to see the trailer

New Zealand - TV2 returns Torchwood to the Wednesday 10:30PM slot
this Wednesday with Adam. It looks like the rest of Series 2 will air
in the coming weeks. We do not know if TV2 has purchased Series 3
      (Children Of Earth).

Australia - ABC http://www.abc.net.au/tv has purchased Series 1 and 2
of Torchwood, bringing Torchwood back to over the air TV. ABC2 begins
airing Torchwood on Friday 19 June 10:30PM. With Doctor Who's history
on ABC, Torchwood should thrive better than on TEN.

Doctor Who schedule information is in This Week In Doctor Who
      http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thisweekindoctorwho .

Corrections and updates are welcome at torchwood-
