Congratulations again to Voyage Of The Damned, the Christmas Doctor
Who episode. The final ratings (overnight plus timeshift) came to
13.31 million. 2nd highest rating of the year 2007 (behind the
Eastenders episode that aired after Voyage). Highest rated Doctor Who
episode since The City Of Death in 1979 when there were 3 channels
and one was shut down by a strike. Details at
http://www.doctorwhonews.com , including the chart of top UK shows in
2007 and the chart of the highest rated Doctor Who episodes ever.

UK - The regular 4th Series of Doctor Who should begin in March or
April (exact Saturday yet to be determined). It will have 13
episodes - with David Tennant and Catherine Tate as the regular cast,
and Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones in 5 episodes (and some other
familiar faces reappearing). After that, the Christmas 2008 episode,
3 "Special" episodes in 2009, and the 13 episode Series 5 in 2010.

Germany finally gets the new Doctor Who. Pro 7
http://www.prosieben.de purchased Series 1 and 2 years ago, and has
now found room in their schedule for the adventures of the Time
Lord. "Rose" will air on Saturday 26 January at 5PM CET, followed
by "Das Ende Der Welt" (The End Of The World) at 6:10PM CET. The rest
of Series 1 and 2 will air at 2 episodes per week from 2 February.
Here's hoping for a big splash with German audiences leading to a
shorter lag time before Series 3 and 4 make it over.

Canadian reminder - The Sarah Jane Adventures start this Sunday 13
January at 9PM Eastern/6PM Pacific on BBC Kids
http://www.bbckids.ca . Complete Sarah Jane stories will air in a 90
minute timeslot. This is the first known broadcast of Sarah Jane
      Adventures outside the UK.

If you are reading This Week via the Doctor Who News Page or News
Feed, the list of US public TV stations known to have bought Series 2
will be right below this paragraph. In other editions it is at the
      start of Section B.

Torchwood schedule information is included in the Torchwood This Week
      column http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood .
