      Sunday 13 January 2008:
BBC Kids Canada 9PM EST/6PM PST - Sarah Jane Adventures - Invasion Of
      The Bane

Canadian channel BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca has purchased The
Sarah Jane Adventures to air early in 2008. Series runs Sunday 13
January to Sunday 17 February. Each story (1 60 minute episode and 5
2 part episodes) will air Sundays at 9PM and 4AM Eastern (6PM and 1AM
Pacific - adjust for local time). This is the first confirmed
international purchase of the Sarah Jane episode and first network to
schedule them to air. Expect editing for commercials. To tie in with
the launch of the newest Who spinoff show, BBC Kids will begin a
repeat run through the Sarah Jane Doctor Who stories, starting late
Saturday 12 January at 2AM Eastern (11PM Pacific). All of Sarah's
episodes except Death To The Daleks and Genesis Of The Daleks will
air, with K9 and Company as the final installment. Doctor Who remains
in the late Saturday and Sunday 2AM Eastern time slot. Complete
stories will air when there are 4 or fewer episodes. Stories will be
divided into two broadcasts for 6 parters.

New Zealand Christmas. Prime TV http://www.primetv.co.nz has advised
the New Zealand Doctor Who Fan Club http://nzdwfc.tetrap.com of
tentative plans to re-air The Runaway Bride on Christmas Eve at 7PM
(with commercials), followed by a commercial free day of Doctor Who
on Christmas Day. The commercial free day is expected to be all 13
episodes of Series 1 from 6:40AM to 4:30PM, followed by The Runaway
Bride (without commercials) from 4:30 to 5:30PM.

BBC Prime http://www.bbcprime.com has noted on their FAQ that they do
not have rights to the latest series of Doctor Who yet (presumably
Series 2), but hope to get them early in 2008. BBC Prime previously
noted on the FAQ that the Christmas episode (confirmed by the African
schedule as The Christmas Invasion) will air on 22 December.

A Polish version of BBC Entertainment (plus BBC Lifestyle, BBC
Knowledge, and CBeebies) will launch on 2 December. I have not found
a website for this version of BBC Entertainment yet (you can't change
your country settings on www.bbcentertainment.com to Poland at this
time), nor is it clear whether this BBC Entertainment will have
Doctor Who and/or the spinoffs. It is expected that Polish homes will
lose access to the BBC Prime Europe/Middle East Feed this month. The
BBC's long term goal is to release a localized version of their suite
of channels in as many countries as possible, phasing out the
      traditional BBC Prime service.

Torchwood schedule information is included in the Torchwood This Week
      column http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood .

For press releases on Doctor Who, keep an eye on the BBC Press Office
