      sequence, 90 minute slot)

SciFi US 8PM + 11:30PM EDT - The Runaway Bride (90 minute slot)
SciFi US 9:30PM + 1AM EDT - Smith And Jones

CANADA - The Runaway Bride *WILL* air on the CBC
http://www.cbc.ca/television late Monday June 18 at Midnight (12:30AM
Newfoundland). This is a schedule change. As to why a Doctor Who
episode is premiering at Midnight ...

First, the CBC scheduled Series 3 to start on 18 June at 8PM with
Smith And Jones. The Doctor Who Information Network
http://www.dwin.org and other fans alerted the CBC that they never
aired The Runaway Bride, the 2006 Christmas episode that occurs
between Series 2 and 3. The DWIN was notified by the CBC earlier this
week that, if the Stanley Cup Championship ended in less than 7
games, The Runaway Bride would air on 11 June at 8PM. The Stanley Cup
ended at 5 games on Wednesday night. On Thursday the CBC website
updated to show a Mel Gibson movie airing on 11 June, which many of
us assumed would be a mistake which would be corrected. Nope - the
Mel Gibson movie is airing, and on Friday the CBC website updated -
Smith And Jones at 8PM, Runaway Bride at Midnight. Thanks to the
Canadian fans for keeping an eye on the situation - the episode may
be out of order and running in late night, but it IS airing, and
      that's the main thing.

Meanwhile, on Monday 2 July, a sports broadcast will pre-empt Doctor
Who on the CBC. Gridlock airs on 9 July, with the Doctor airing the
      rest of the month.

UK - BBC Radio Wales http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/radiowales is running
3 additional episodes of its "Doctor Who - Back In Time" series.
Saturdays at 1:04PM, Sundays at 4:32PM BST starting today - 9 June.
Details in the main section of the column.

Tonight's 45 minute Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three at 8PM is
directed by David Tennant, the current Doctor. Don't Blink or you'll
miss it - the repeats are only 15 minutes long.

UK viewers with Digiguide subscriptions http://www.digiguide.com have
spotted a Doctor Who weekend on 14 and 15 July - on UKTV Drama. A mix
of classic and new Doctor Who episodes will air across the 2 days.
This will be the first time Doctor Who has aired on UKTV Drama. It is
unknown yet if this means that Doctor Who will be joining UKTV Drama
      on a regular basis.

AUSTRALIA - UKTV is in the middle of its 2 day marathon of Series 1
and 2, including the Cut Down episodes of Doctor Who Confidential. A
chance to catch up before ABC begins Series 3 with The Runaway Bride
on the 28th. No information on whether UKTV will put Doctor Who
repeats back on their schedule. BTW, UKTV New Zealand does *not*, to
anyone's knowledge, have rights to Doctor Who. Just noting that
because earlier this week, if you did a search for Doctor Who on the
New Zealand website, you got the UKTV Australia information. When you
check the actual schedule - no Doctor. :/

For press releases on Doctor Who, keep an eye on the BBC Press Office
      http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media
