Torchwood This Week http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood has the
schedule information on spinoff series Torchwood.

The BBC Press Office (link further down in the column) has announced
most of their Christmas/New Years plans for UK fans.
      1) Christmas Day 4 to 7PM - BBC Radio 1 - 3 hour live Doctor Who
special hosted by Jo Whitley. Radio 1 can be heard on the internet.
Radio 1 programmes can be heard for 7 days through the listen again
feature. Also - Radio 1 is available in the US on subscription
satellite radio services with a 5 hour time delay, so it would be 4
to 7PM Eastern Time, 1 to 4PM Pacific.
      2) Christmas Day - BBC One - Doctor Who - The Runaway Bride. The 1
hour Christmas episode, the first show in the third series'
production run. David Tennant is The Doctor, with guest stars
      Catherine Tate and Sarah Parish.
      3) Sometime Christmas Week - BBC One/CBBC - The Sarah Jane
Adventures. 1 hour special that will lead in to a weekly series in
2007. Elizabeth Sladen returns as Sarah Jane Smith, companion to the
3rd and 4th Doctors in the 1970s, in this children-oriented spinoff
set after the events of new series episode School Reunion. The Sarah
Jane Adventures will air in the BBC One CBBC programming block and on
      the CBBC channel.
      4) Sometime Christmas Week - BBC Three/BBC Two - Torchwood, episodes
11, 12, and 13. The last 3 episodes of Series 1 of this adult-
oriented spinoff series will air in this period on both stations -
      dates and times uncertain.
      5) New Years Eve 6PM & Midnight - BBC 7 - Doctor Who - Blood Of The
Daleks, pt 1. The digital radio station has a deal with Big Finish
http://www.doctorwho.co.uk to make a new 8 episode radio series of
Doctor Who stories, with Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor. This time the
episodes will premiere on BBC7 and be released on CD by Big Finish at
a later date. BBC7 can be heard online with RealPlayer and Windows
Media Player, and for a week afterwards using RealPlayer.

BBC Four http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour concludes its Doctor Who repeat
run this Monday at 7:10PM GMT with the second half of The Ark In
Space. Fans with UKTV Gold can continue seeing classic Who in movie
format on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with the David Tennant
episodes airing later on the same days.

Doctor Who has premiered in Romania on TVR2. It is currently airing
Monday through Thursday at 5PM, with repeats Tuesday through Friday
at 9AM. TVR's website does not make it clear which episode is airing
on which day, through from photos it appears that Series 1 and 2 will
be airing in this daily run. Let's get the word out in Romania. If
anyone knows which episodes are airing on which days, please let me

The CBC http://www.cbc.ca/television will be taking Doctor Who off
the air after this Monday's airing of The Impossible Planet to make
room for Christmas programming. (No idea if The Christmas Invasion
will be included in the Christmas programming.) Doctor Who returns in
the same timeslot on 15 January with The Satan Pit.

The PBS stations in the US are having their December pledge drives,
which will disrupt Doctor Who broadcasts.
      1) Maryland Public TV will not air Doctor Who this weekend, with
stories airing on the other 4 Saturdays at Midnight.
      2) WCET Cincinnati will have a pledge night for Doctor Who this
Saturday the 2nd from 10:30PM to Midnight - they will pre-empt Doctor
      Who on the 9th.
      3) Iowa Public TV will not air Doctor Who this weekend, with episodes
airing on the other 4 Saturdays at 11:35PM.
      4) KBTC/KCKA Tacoma/Centralia, WA will not air Doctor Who on the 2nd
or the 9th for pledge programming.

BBC America http://www.bbcamerica.com has put up their schedule
through Christmas Eve. Series 1 continues Tuesdays at 10PM and 1AM
Eastern (7PM and 10PM Pacific). The Unquiet Dead will repeat on
Christmas Eve at 9PM and Midnight Eastern, which is appropriate
considering the story. The Saturday repeats are more haphazard - see
      the listings below.

To avoid any confusion - when an episode airs multiple times on the
same channel in the same day, I use the "&" symbol to avoid having to
write out the day information multiple times. The first time is the
earliest, the last time is the latest. If a program is airing at 10PM
& 1AM, then 1AM is later that night. Typically I cut off from late
night into the following day around 4AM local time.

For press releases on Doctor Who, keep an eye on the BBC Press Office
